Second backpacking trip in two weeks. If only I could always live like this! Brought my girlfriend along this time. The weather was beautiful and the destination, Lady Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness, was like nothing I'd ever seen!

Island Lake Backpack
Two weeks ago my dad and I packed into Island Lake, in the high wilderness of the Sierra Nevada, for a weekend getaway. It was unseasonably cold for August, but we were lucky enough to avoid rain, which can come quickly during this season in the high mountains. We did however get some snow!
Even so, the weekend was a refreshing break filled with fishing, mountain climbing, hiking, swimming, and fresh golden trout! Here are a few pics:
